Welcome Reception for His Excellency Zakri Jaafar, the new Malaysian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and his wife Madame Nor Aini.

David Stringer-Lamarre, MD of FortisCL, was pleased to attend this The British Malaysian Society (BMS) event where he is the Chair of the International Trade Group. It was held in partnership with The Sarawak Association and Malaysia Link UK.

It provided an opportunity for David to mention the Business Smart International (BIS), United Kingdom and the Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM) new partnering agreement. Fortis Consulting London provided cross-border partnership creation support.

At the event the welcoming address was delivered by BMS Chair Mei Sim Lai; this was followed by a speech from Dato’ Anthony Cooper on behalf of The Sarawak Association. Husna Fathiah Binti Zulkarnain delivered an address on behalf of Malaysia Link UK.

His Excellency Zakri Jaafar kindly provided an update on Malaysia before mingling with the many guests.

As part of the celebration a BMS tie was presented by Mei Sim Lai to His Excellency Zakri Jaafar.

A vote of thanks was delivered by BMS President Sir Mark Moody Stuart.
