Ralph Anderson Lecture – Advances in technology to fast-forward the circular economy

The Worshipful Company of Horners, Ralph Anderson Lecture – Advances in technology to fast-forward the circular economy, delivered by Professor Edward KOSIOR.

David Stringer-Lamarre, MD of Fortis Consulting London, representing The Worshipful Company of Glaziers and Painters of Glass, within his role as Master Glazier, was very pleased to attend this lecture at The Royal Society of Medicine and later discuss several aspects with Professor Kosior.

In this talk Professor Kosior explored how waste management sits at the heart of climate change, with global waste generating more than 1.3 billion tons of CO2e annually and went on to define the cutting-edge technologies that are coming on stream to help the world turn plastic waste into a valuable resource. From highly efficient sorting systems for plastics to unique decontamination processes to breathe new life back into post-

consumer food-contact single use plastics and flexible films, Professor Kosior explored the future of the circular recycling of plastics.
