The Worshipful Company of Glaziers and Painters of Glass with City Livery Club and Oxford University Society London Mansion House Banquet. David Stringer-Lamarre, MD of FortisCL was pleased to attend within his roles as Master Glazier.

David said “This was a very interesting, enjoyable and friendly event attended by 250+ people. We were privileged to hear excellent arias from Emily Kyte and Francesca Matta.”

The first speech was made by Sir David Wootton, Lord Mayor Locum Tenens, who spoke about the work of the City of London, its ability to innovate and the importance of Livery Companies. The Principal Guest was charismatic Paola Diana who delivered a strong speech focused on women’s rights and the danger of indifference. Paola also drew our attention to the fact that “….. only 2% of total auction sales between 2008 and 2019 was sold by female artists. We are talking about $4 billion out of a total of $196 billion dollars.”

David Stringer-Lamarre’s remarks centred upon the importance and power of communities for individuals and society.
