The Joint ASEAN Societies Reception at The Royal Over-Seas League; 200+ people. David Stringer-Lamarre, MD of FortisCL, was pleased to be the event Moderator. The key note speakers were Baroness Lucy Neville-Rolfe DEB CMG, Chair UK-ASEAN Business Council (UKABC); HE The High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam, First Admiral Pengiran Data Seri Pahlawwani Norazmi bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad and HE The Ambassador of Cambodia Mr Kan Pharidh.

Steve Buckley, Chair of Anglo-Thai Society delivered the welcome speech.

David said that there was an engaging Q&A session after the keynote speeches. This was followed by a toast to HM The Queen in celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and a toast to ASEAN.

Htike Yadana performed the Royal Peacock Dance to the delight of the audience.

The closing remarks were delivered by Mei Sim Lai OBE DL, Chair of The British Malaysian Society.
