David Stringer-Lamarre, within his role as Chairman of the Institute of Directors, City of London, was pleased to attend this exhibition held at the 12 Star Gallery, Europe House, 32 Smith Square. The event was organised by the Embassy of Luxembourg.
The exhibition was the first series of portraits made by Christine Bory in London between October 2016 and May 2017.
“The idea had been in my head for many years. When my husband was sent to London as an Ambassador for the first time, I experienced that setting out for a new country was a whole new challenge.”
“I want to take the viewer beyond the stereotype of the Ambassador’s spouse. This image has little to do with reality. Making these portraits, I seek the expression and the aesthetics of continuity and reinvention in a discontinued, fragmented lifestyle.” Christine Bory.
