David Stringer-Lamarre, within his role as Chairman of the Institute of Directors, City of London was very pleased to meet a delegation from the China Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, which was led by Mr Jiang Yiping the Director.

David spoke about IoD City’s strong interest in international trade and its China Special Interest Group, which is now in its eleventh year.

Jiang Yiping and David Stringer-Lamarre exchanged information about the current situation regarding SMEs in China and the UK noting the strong interest in both countries to further deepen engagement and collaboration.

There was a discussion about the need for a good understanding of business cultures by companies in each country and how to effectively engage and work together as partners on a ‘win – win’ basis.
