The Worshipful Company of Glaziers and Painters of Glass trip to Athens day 2 – Black Tie Gala Dinner at the Athens Club. Guest of Honour HE Matthew Lodge British Ambassador to the Hellenic Republic. Probably the first visit of a City of London Livery Company to Athens, certainly the first visit by the Glaziers.

David Stringer-Lamarre, MD of FortisCL and the Master Glazier said “The gathering was very pleased to hear the Ambassador’s speech which noted the strong relationship between the UK and Green and provided an insight into the work of the British Embassy. It was very good to hear several mentions of stained glass and the participation of one of our artists Helen Whittaker FMGP, within the Craft is Great and Design is Great campaigns. On behalf of the Company I was pleased to present the Ambassador with a Glazier’s mug!”
