David Stringer-Lamarre, MD of FortisCL and Chairman of the Institute of Directors, London Region, was pleased to attend and speak at the Wuliangye Reception held at the Institute of Directors (IoD), Pall Mall. Wuliangye is a famous Chinese spirit tracing its history to at least the Ming Dynasty.

David welcomed the many distinguished guests which included:

• Deputy Secretary of the CPC Yibin Municipal Committee and Mayor of Yibin Municipal People’s Government Du Ziping
• Councillor Ernest Ezeajughi, The Worshipful Mayor of Brent
• Counsellor Zhang Bin, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China
• Chairman of Wuligangye, Zhongguo Liu

David spoke about the work of the IoD and IoD London Region. He noted the strong connections between the UK and China and mentioned the long established China Special Interest Group, IoD City of London Branch.
