David Stringer-Lamarre, MD of FortisCL, within his capacity as Chairman of the Institute of Directors, London Region, was pleased to speak at this event held in the House of Commons.

Xiang Xiaowei, Minister Counsellor, Cultural Office, Embassy of China, spoke about the increasing connections between China and the UK, with respect to tourism.

David Stringer-Lamarre spoke about the strengthening links between business people in the UK & China, noting that London & the UK was ‘open for business’. He spoke of the two strong Institute of Directors branches in London and the China Special Interest Group.

Zhang Mingchi, Deputy Director General, Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, provided a detailed discussion of Shandong as a tourism and cultural destination.

Xia Jianhui, Counsellor Education, Embassy of China, spoke about the importance of cultural understanding about how and why different people choose to make tourist visits.
