David Stringer-Lamarre, MD of FortisCL is the Chair of the International Trade Team, British Malaysian Society.

This digital event was organised by The British Malaysian Society in partnership with British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (BMCC).

The topics and speakers provided attendees with an excellent overview of the opportunities that exist for UK SMEs in Malaysia and highlighted the potential for building on the strong UK connections to help accelerate expansion in a range of emerging sectors. The event also highlighted the potential for Malaysia to be an effective conduit to further expansion opportunities in SE Asia.

The Welcome Address was delivered by Mei Sim Lai OBE DL, Chair of the British Malaysian Society.

Key Note speakers were: Rashida Othman, UK Director of Malaysian International Development Agency (MIDA) and Jennifer Lopez, Chief Executive Officer – British Malaysian Chamber of Commerce (BMCC).
