IoD London International Trade Group hosted the first Trade Dinner at the Oriental Club with Lord JD Waverley and Amanda Brooks CBE. David Stringer-Lamarre, MD of Fortis CL was pleased to attend. The member-only evening was attended by international trade specialists, including Emma Rowland of The Institute of Directors (IoD) and business people active in international commerce.

The attendees were welcomed by Chair of the IoD London International Trade Group, Andrew Lambert. The opening remarks were delivered by Lord Waverley. After dinner Amanda Brooks CBE addressed the room on her role as Director General of Trade Negotiations at The Department for International Trade (DIT). This was followed by a lively, productive and well-informed discussion about cross border commerce.
