IoD City: ‘Success in FinTech: The highs & lows of the rise of a CEO’

David Stringer-Lamarre, MD of FortisCL, within his role as Chairman of the Institute of Directors (IoD), London Region was pleased to deliver the closing remarks at this excellent event, organised by the Young Directors Group of IoD City of London.

The most talked-about (and most funded) fintech startups share the same characteristic: they are designed to be a threat to, challenge, and eventually usurp entrenched traditional financial services providers by being more nimble, serving an underserved segment or providing faster and/or better service. The panel were asked what it has been like to be part of it all so far, and how they individually got there.
