David Stringer-Lamarre within his role as Chairman of the Institute of Directors, City of London was pleased to make the opening address and be the Event Chairman at this joint event between IoD City of London and Cass Business School.

Lady Barbara Judge among other positions is the first woman Chairman of the Institute of Directors since its formation in 1903.

Professor Paul Palmer formally welcomed the attendees to Cass Business School and provided some information about the School and the history of the annual event.

Professor Marianne Lewis, Dean of Cass Business School, interviewed Lady Barbara Judge on a wide range of topics including engagement between education & business, Brexit, the positive contribution of women to commerce & society and the a discussion about mentors and sponsors. This was followed by a lively questions & comments session with the audience.

As usual there was a business card draw for a non-member and member prize.

The formal proceedings were followed by networking over drinks.
