David Stringer-Lamarre, MD of Fortis Consulting London, within his role as Chairman of the Institute of Directors, City of London, was pleased to have been invited to attend this dinner.

It provided an opportunity to discuss bi-lateral and third country trade with respect to the UK and Hong Kong. Also it provided information about ongoing developments.

Mr Vincent H S Lo, Chairman of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council provided the introductory remarks.

The Hon Mrs Carrie Lam, The Chief Executive, Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China delivered a keynote address.

This was followed by a speech by The Rt Hon Philip Hammond MP, the Chancellor of the Exchequer.
