Hawksford Reception with speaker Chris Moon MBE at the Institute of Directors (IoD). David Stringer-Lamarre, MD, FortisCL, was very pleased to listen to Chris relate his tale of near death experiences, his recovery and his philosophy how to approach life and living.

‘Whilst working for a humanitarian NGO, Chris survived kidnap by the Khmer Rouge and being blown up walking in a supposedly safe area of a minefield in remote East Africa, losing an arm and a leg. Within a year of leaving hospital Chris went on to complete the London Marathon followed by the six-day ultra-marathon “Marathon des Sables” and embarked on a journey to inspire others to be resilient in the face of adversity.’
