The British Malaysian Society (BMS) – ‘Update on Oil, Gas and Renewables’, Guildhall, City of London. David Stringer-Lamarre, MD, FortisCL said “It was a remarkable, wide ranging event followed by networking. I was pleased to deliver the ‘vote of thanks’.”

David is the Chair of the International Trade Group of the British Malaysian Society.

The expert panel under the moderation of Sir Mark Moody Stuart, looked at a broad range of subjects. Oil, gas, wind, solar, hydro, nuclear, net-zero, planning, investments, energy security, subsidies, scenario planning etc.

The welcome address was delivered by BMS Chair Mei Sim Lai. The panel members were: Calvin Khoo – Director of Vision One Sendirian Berhad, Evan Ng – Management Consultant on power and low carbon solution at Baringa, Robin Stevens – Non Executive Director of Singapore listed Annica Holdings and UK listed Aura Renewable Acquisitions, Professor Raúl C. Rosales, PhD – Strategic Engagement Lead at Net Zero Centre, King’s College London and Ulf Nathrath Vice President UK Energy Transitions and Infrastructure Shell International.
