David Stringer-Lamarre, MD of Fortis CL, within his role as Chairman of the Institute of Directors (IoD), London Region (6000 members) was pleased to attend this IoD City of London dinner with the All Party Parliamentary China Group.

15 members of the House of Lords and the House of Commons attended the dinner along with 30+ business leaders. The evening, ran by the IoD City China Group, provided an opportunity to discuss ongoing economic and social links between the UK and China.

A welcome address was provided by Lord Tim Clement-Jones, Vice Chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Party.

Alderman Alastair King, Chairman of IoD City of London spoke about the importance of the relationship between the UK & China.

Minister Counsellor Ma, Embassy of China, discussed present relationships and future opportunities for the UK and China.

Closing remarks were provided by Mei Sim Lai OBE DL, Chairman of the IoD City China Group
