David Stringer-Lamarre, MD of FortisCL, was pleased to deliver a speech at the 2020 Convention on Exchange of Overseas Talents and the 22nd Guangzhou Convention of Overseas Chinese Scholars in Science and Technology.

Opening speeches were delivered by:

• Mr. Linbu Wu, Deputy Secretary-General, Guangzhou Municipal People’s Government
• Ms. Zhang Jin, Minister Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in the UK

David spoke about the importance of maintaining and strengthening commercial and cultural relations between the UK and China. He discussed potential opportunities within the Greater Bay Area including developments the fields of science and technology. Some of the areas were: machine-learning, artificial intelligence, big-data, medical technology, bio-technology, renewable energy, marine technology, new materials for construction, and areas of specialism for the City of London, financial technology and green finance.
