David Stringer-Lamarre, MD of FortisCL was pleased to attend the annual Mais Lecture at Cass Business School in London. The speaker was Jose Manuel Barroso, Chairman of Goldman Sachs International and ex President of the European Commission (2004 to 2014).

A welcome address on behalf of City University was delivered by Professor Sir Paul Curran. This was followed by a speech by the Dean of Cass Business School, Professor Marianne Lewis.

Jose Manuel Barroso spoke on the subject of ‘The European Union and the Changing International Landscape’ and covered many topics. He agreed to take questions following his presentation.
