David Stringer-Lamarre, within his role as Chairman of the Institute of Directors, City of London was pleased to attend this event.

Priscilla To, Director General of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, London made the opening speech noting the synergies between London, the UK and Hong Kong with respect to Financial Services, noting the increasing interest in FinTech.

Simon Kirby, Economic Secretary to the Treasury spoke about the very strong past and present links between the UK and Hong Kong. He stated that the UK was the gateway to the West and that Hong Kong was the gateway to the East.

It was interesting to meet and speak from business people from Hong Kong and exchange information and views on a number of topics.
