The Institute of Directors, Japan Group and KEIZAI DOYUKAI Japan Association of Corporate Executives, roundtable on “Net-Zero Mandate – how corporate executives are responding to it”

David Stringer-Lamarre, MD of FortisCL and Co-Chair of the IoD Japan Group said that he was very pleased to attend this 4th gathering of UK and Japan business leaders.

David said that the discussion involved the basics of attaining the net-zero; what the UK and Japanese corporations were doing to combat their carbon reduction efforts concerning Scope 1, 2, and 3. He said that the attendees also talked about the board’s role in overseeing the efforts, regulations, and economic pressures to adopt the net-zero targets, opportunities to offset emission via avoidance or removals, demand-side opportunities, and costs scenario while carefully managing the adoption plan.
