David Stringer-Lamarre, MD, Fortis Consulting London, said “A great start to the day in the City of London. A stroll across Guildhall Yard, a peek at the Lord Mayor of London’s State Coach and then a truly interesting seminar with lots of Q&A on the subject to taxation.

“The welcome address was delivered by Alderman Prem Goyal OBE, who was followed by Chris Hayward, Policy Chairman, City of London Corporation. His remarks included mention of the importance of financial & professional services, importance of growth and the substantial role played by the City of London police. Dame Jayne-Anne Gadhia, Lead Non-Executive at HM Revenue and Customs, introduced Sir Jim Harra.

“The event allowed for many discussions with attendees including the connection between business operations and tax, international trade and the recent budget announcements.

“Well done to all involved.”
