Rowing on the Thames. The Worshipful Company of Glaziers and Painters of Glass women’s rowing team came second in the Admiral of the Port Challenge Race 2022, which goes from HQS Wellington, Victoria Embankment, to Westminster Boating Base, passing the Houses of Parliament.

David Stringer-Lamarre, MD of Fortis Consulting London, said that he felt privileged to accompany the Master Glazier, Phil Fortey as the two required passengers. David said that the team (Julie Clarke, Donna Stirling, Jo Doyle and Donna Beecham) rowed strongly in sometimes choppy conditions with a head wind.

Members of the Glaziers Company came along to the Westminster Boating Base to cheer the team’s arrival and enjoy a glass of something. Sheriff Alison Gowman (second from left) represented the Lord Mayor of London at the event.
