David said that glass artist Sophie Hacker engagingly spoke about the new stained glass window she created to mark the bicentenary of Florence Nightingale’s birth, installed at Romsey Abbey in Hampshire in summer 2021.

‘The Calling Window’ shows the moment when, aged 16, Florence Nightingale said she was called by God. Sophie will talk about the idea and the creative process, and about Florence Nightingale herself.

Speeches were delivered by The Master Glazier, Phil Fortey, and the Master of the Company of Nurses, Frances Davies.
