David Stringer-Lamarre, MD of FortisCL, and an Executive Committee Member of the British Malaysian Society, was very pleased to attend this inaugural reception which brought together 18 societies with a focus on ASEAN.

The welcome address was delivered by Simon Buckley, President of the Anglo Thai Society.

HE Foo Chi Hsia, High Commissioner of Singapore spoke about the Chairmanship of ASEAN in 2018

HE Pisanu Suvanajata, Ambassador of Thailand followed and discussed future objectives for ASEAN.

The evening provided an excellent opportunity for people with interest in the ten countries of ASEAN to meet and discuss a wide range of topics within a convivial environment.
