Institute of Directors, 116 Pall Mall, London

David Stringer-Lamarre within his role as Chairman of the Institute of Directors, City of London, was very pleased to have been invited to attend this event; the Global Thinkers Forum Award for Excellence 2016.

The opening remarks and welcome were provided by Elizabeth Filippouli, CEO, Global Thinkers Forum. Elizabeth spoke about the organisations focus upon accountable leadership, women’s empowerment and youth development.

Tobias Ellwood MP, Minister for the Middle East and Africa, spoke about the UK’s international relationship and the importance of being open to engage.

The Rt Hon, the Lord Alderdice, delivered a speech ‘On Peace & Collaboration’.

The awards covered several categories and highlighted the work that people are doing around the world to improve lives, engagement between people and organisations and the importance of communication as a basis for understanding.
