David Stringer-Lamarre, a member of the British Malaysian Society (BMS), was pleased to attend the BMS ^0th Merdeka & Chairman’s Christmas Reception in the House of Lords. It was a very good opportunity to catch up with existing friends and meet some new ones.

Lord Sheikh made a welcome speech noting the strong historical and present relationship between the UK and Malaysia. His Lordship also noted the opportunities within the area of Islamic Finance for both countries.

BMS Chairman, Dato Anthony Copper, spoke about the strong relationship between BMS and Malaysia noting that several people from Malaysia had flown to the UK to attend the event.
